No a good night.

MIL fell. Appears to have only bruised ribs and a shaken confidence. Made two trips home to assist wife.

Back to Mom's and find that she is partially seated in the wheelchair with the instructions to stay in-bed. Then I seat her on the toilet and the instructions to stay there until I do permanently afix buzzers by the bed-where upon I find her holding on the bathroom rails trying to get to the wheelchair. -She cannot walk one step without falling even with handrails.

On CC, "My meeting with a financial planner, some helpful hints (momsquad)"; #37, by Mini.

"Consumer and financial experts generally agree that LTC insurance is a bad investment unless the monthly premium is 5% or less of your monthly income. When calculating this 5% figure for future years, bear in mind that your premiums are likely to rise, while your income will probably drop."

LTC is insurance, and for the most part instances, LTC is a good deal for the well off, those with appreciating assets, those who wish to manage their wealth for their heirs. For the rest, the State's Mediaid program will work. evileye
