Company-mandated 'play' is the latest craze—but there are far better ways to spark innovation

Google, Apple, LinkedIn,  3M & others, had a policy for giving employees time for self-projects of company time and a possibility to develop that project. 

WHY? Stupid to do if you are an Idea guy. Even more stupid by the Company, to promote it.
