I doubt anyone would want to go back to Bill's idea of Stafford Loans.

Today's Stafford-Direct Loans are costing students more today than they did during W's first 6 years.

Disclosure: Taxpayers, thankyous, for the subsidy for on the Stafford and PLUS. You got 9 yrs left on the unsubsidized Stafford and 19 years on the PLUS. Should have borrowed another $60,000 from you (2002-2006 era loans). furious

Minority groups and underemployed were/are already got medical care thru the E-room at the local hospital, Many groups of nondocumented immigrants will still be excluded from Obamacare, including Eastern European and Asian.

DreamAct-will allow some very smart kids (Asian and E-European and Latinos) to get a legit higher education, paying full fare, We often forget that these undocumented immigrants are the Best that their home country has to offer-And if they should somehow obtain a PR status (they do Not get citizenship) or if they return to their home country, USA still will gain. They are also the ones who are forming today's small business-It's Not the American Citizen who are forming the businesses. The GOP already acknowledges this.

Should we control illegal immigration-absolutely.

Bigot = anyone who is winning an argument with a liberal.

Romney is exactly right.

It's not clear who originally said the following, but it's dead on:

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the majority discovers it can vote itself largess out of the public treasury. After that, the majority always votes for the candidate promising the most benefits with the result the democracy collapses because of the loose fiscal policy ensuing, always to be followed by a dictatorship, then a monarchy."

And that's putting it mildly. It leaves out the part where whenever anyone suggests such a thing they are accused of being uncaring, or greedy, or wanting only to protect the rich,....or a bigot. Those are evil thoughts that come from short sighted, small minded, thinking.

But that's the meme isn't it? That's the conventional wisdom. Try to put a limit on government largess and you're a horrible person. It's the theme Democrats have run on for decades. Including Obama; "Pay their 'Fair Share."

It's sad how sick our culture has become.

Oh come on now, he must be a bigot, you know that by now. He is white, therefore he is a bigot. Doesn't matter what he says.

Anything you don't like? Racists, they must be racists!

So what is untrue about that? Amnesty to Latinos, Obamacare to blacks, student loans to the young. May not appeal to every person in each particular group (ie, he didn't get my kids votes....maybe because they didn't have student loans), but as a generality, what is untrue about that? And what is unusual about politicians buying votes? That's what they all do to get elected, though most people just have the ability to promise, as opposed to having the power to "do".
