zooser, if my MIL wasn't N stage I would come to hold your hand...I am hankering for a great slice of pizza, where you hear the crust crunch as you fold it in half and let the oil drip onto your paper plate!
I would also be willing to go to any Philly poster's area because DS2 wants to eat a cheese steak from Jims, Pat's and Geno's. He also would like to have one of their pretzels.
My family is Jersey so he knows what a Funny Bone and a Butterscotch krimpet tastes like!

winchester, can you please come to Staten Island and hold my hand? Since the hurricane, my husband was been working 16/7 and my poor baby boy isn't big enough yet to handle my hysteria.
Oh come on don't worry because the Redskins lost their last home game. It has been true since 1940!
Here some more funny other facts: According to U.S. News & World Report, the taller presidential candidate has won 80 percent of the time throughout history. If this holds true, Romney, who stands at 6-foot-2, has a slight edge over Obama, who stands at 6-foot-1.
And finally, history shows that the candidate with the longer last name has won in 15 of the last 23 elections. If this holds true, Romney will squeak by, thanks to a one-letter advantage.

Bullet is not voting today, unfortunately his mother is N stage cancer in NJ, so he didn't think he would need to vote absentee. He was going to vote for MR. I will be voting for MR. Our 18 yo last night informed me he thinks he will vote for PBO. I told him that's fine our votes will cancel each other out. Bullet when he heard that said great now if MR loses VA by 1 vote it is my fault! :D
DD already voted absentee since she is at college. The count in our home is: 2 MR 1 Obama 1 No vote
The 5th is our DS, but he is in TX, and registered in NC, so another absentee. 1 MR
Not to go off topic to much, but I was impressed with VA. We received a letter last week from the board of elections, saying they received her absentee vote, and that if she did not indeed send in a ballot, to contact them immediately.

zoose check the final rasumessen numbers i just posted over on the Polls and the Media thread.
It gives Romney a slight overal lead. It lists 8 states as tossups. But when you look at the states individually, six of them lean romney, one leans obama, and one is tied.

However I will be one of the crawl over broken glass voters for Mitt today. As some of you know, my 14-year old son has been a stalwart Roomneyite since 2007 and he is praying for victory today so he can vote for Mitt in four years.
john doe, didn't you see my link from MSNBC? According to them PBO won, 280 electoral votes, MR won popular. I was psychic...I predicted it, thus I should be something, at least pay me as a psychic consultant.

Tried to be market neutral-I'll tell you on Wednesday nite on how my neutral bets come off.
Personally I can't see the arithmetic of MR intentions other than go massive debt, inflate against the Yuan which will cause our loans to be worth less to China-which will make them pissed, so they will buy more US housing, making homes worth more thereby pushing more people out of foreclosures. And in 2 generations, we will have a ethnic but American Born Chinese as President, although raised in Shanghai-New York City-San Jose. Harvard MBA with Stanford BS ME. And a half Chinese/White wife, and very cute kids with 140 IQs.
BTW, Oregon's vote fraud, discovered late last week was done by a volunteer vote counter (R) who marked ballots (republican) in areas that the voter, supposedly did not mark. Unknown quantity of ballots in question- could be very considerable and will positively surpass any individual vote fraud in all of these United States. Win by cheating-what a novel idea. Maximum penalty is 5yrs. She'll do 6months (not yet grand jury) since there is no budget for nonviolent convictions, and because 20 years ago our Republican state legislature built prisons but did not adequate fund for personel. Oh, well.

Scary because there's a lot of people, on one side or the other, that are going to find out they've been living a lie, pima. Which might be why Cutter did her "remain calm" PSA today: can't be having any spontaneous and embarassing displays until after the polls close.
Here's the pithiest I saw today...
Such implausible oversampling of Democrats has become routine in polls this year. A CNN national poll released Sunday had the race tied at 49 percent each for Obama and Romney, but with a D+11 sample that prompted my Republican operative friend Ali Akbar to remark, "They might as well be polling San Francisco."
... along with a great example of homegrown American wit, from the same piece:
One of the teenage volunteers displayed a cellphone photo he had taken of the front door of a house in a particular rough section of Middletown. A sign on the door read, "Is there life after death? Trespass here and find out."
Sounds like a republican to me but what pollster is that guy likely to confess to?
