Obama just lost the election

Just reviving an old thread with today's polls.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/2012_elections_electoral_college_map.html

12 states are now classified as TOSS UPS!

Ohio, VA, FL, CO, WI, IA, NV, MI, NH, MO, PA and NC are in play.

My bet is if Biden is not a clear winner like Romney was last week, Obama might have just lost the election.

Romney and Allen are making headway in VA because of sequestration. I disagree with the ad against Tim Kaine, but it is making an impact. 500 BN will be cut in the budget for DOD, and 207K jobs in VA are at risk in NoVA. Obama is talking about Big Bird, Romney is talking Defense. For VA that is their economy.

For FL it is filled with retirees, but many are military members, and there are military bases too. Same thing.

NC I don't get because it is a state that just voted down gay marriage 2 to 1, and is conservative. I think this is a polling anomaly. It makes no sense it is a toss up, yes, MR is 3% pts in front, but still, toss up is strange.

The bumps in the road comment bothered me a lot. I can't imagine being the family member that lost a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, etc. and have the feeling that our President viewed them as bumps.

Jay Carney was worse when he came out and criticize the press for saying Obama wasn't taking it seriously.

Seriously, Jay, the Prez came out and said it was just bumps in the road. Maybe you got his drift, but most of us didn't! Than again Jay, you guys were/are still running on the premise that it was a riot that got out of hand and not a pre-planned attack!

Obama didn't lose the election, because the fact is people are so entrenched in the letter D or R nothing you can say to them will change their opinion. They will warp it however they want because they are in their mind a D or an R. They lost sight of our country's needs, it is all about partisanship.

I will believe I am wrong when I hear Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow or Bill Maher say R's have a better plan. Same for Limbaugh, Hannity and Michelle Malkin.

The minute these guys reach across the aisle and place blame at the feet of their own party, than I know something great will happen for this country.

Until that time, I just expect the same old, same old. D's voting for D's, R's for R's.

OBTW you forgot to add into your equation what 60 Minutes only put on line from their interview

There were so many eye-popping comments, CBS had to put some things on line. There was this remark about Obama’s ads, which his advisers have defended as honorable and true:

Do we see sometimes us going overboard in our campaign, mistakes that are made, areas where there’s no doubt that somebody could dispute how we are presenting things, that happens in politics . . .

Doesn't that make you feel all warm and cozy inside? Our President saying they may have crossed the line.

Again, not saying MR hasn't. Just illustrating how it is accepted as rational thinking for the game of politics!
