Obama has always delivered great speeches, I expect that this will be a great speech. I am not sure about the money making, I read that the Giants/Cowboy game beat Good Ole Boy Clinton's speech last night regarding ratings.
MSNBC, CNN, ABC, etc will fall over their tongues praising how great the speech was. He has no worry regarding breaking him. Honestly do you think George Stephanopolis, Jonathan Karl, Chris Matthews, Soledad O'Brien or Jonathan King will be negative in any way? He could speak for 30 minutes about how to tie shoe laces and they would say it was powerful and motivating.
For me, I may tune in, but if I do it will be PBS, because they don't interject at the level traditional networks like Fox, CNN, MSNBC do with their anchors bias.
The key word is IF.
Not going to lie, if he pulls a Rubio, I will change the channel. Rubio did pander to the Christian right.

If Charlotte NC weather is anything like summer in DC, I would never schedule an outdoor event. I live in the PNW, and we can see weather patterns at least 3-5 days out with very good accuracy. However, when we were on the eastern seaboard, a thunderstorm can arise in 30 minutes, dump for 15 minutes, and clear off in the next 15. Two inches of rain in that 15 minutes of wind, rain, and lightning. I think the DNC is silly to even think about an outdooor event, with the main speaker, speaking in the twilight hours-Think of the security problems with people wearing long coats, bringing umbrellas, and the possibility of lightning hitting the stage.
After Wednesday's speeches, A great many people will be tuning in and watching POB, giving The speech that could make or break him. The Networks and affiliated-local broadcasters are going to make a lot of money tonight.
Does the DNC have different forecasters when they said due to the forecast of severe thunderstorms they need to change the venue? TWC has 20%, and nowhere do they say severe weather.
I think this is a mis-step by the Obama campaign. It just leaves the question open if they moved the speech because they couldn't fill the arena. They knew when they set it up months ago Sept in NC can be wet. 20% chance of rain, is not OMG, cancel. It makes absolute no sense, unless they are hoping Americans are that stupid to bite off on 20% chance = severe weather forecast.
