A lot has been made of the Ryan speech regarding the GM plant and the actual facts.  I saw this on Drudge and thought it was interesting

Hats off to CNN at least they admitted that John King was incorrect and Ryan's statement was TRUE!

Granted, Ryan played fast and loose with the facts, but isn't it the media's responsibility to inform viewers with facts, they can than interject their opinion, but to say to Americans that it was not true, not only mislead viewers, but also mis-informed them of the facts.

The GM plant stayed open until April 2009.  Obama PROMISED it would stay open for another 100 yrs if he had anything to say about it.  It was a promise Obama broke, but instead of acknowledging that broken promise, they diverted the topic to defend Obama, ignoring what Obama said to these employees to gain their votes.  Ryan only said, Obama promised, and he failed to deliver.

Can't wait to see the next 3 months of media spin!  NOT!

Fact checking is usually nothing of the sort. A large number of supposed fact checkers are really just Op Eds under a fake title of "Fact Checking."
