Backup cams only turn on when you're in reverse, so no luck there. No, airplanes don't have rear view mirrors. We can't go backwards, on the ground or in the air.

backup cams-> they are useless 99.99% of the time. Never had to use it even once while driving forward. evileye,

However, I do use the rear viewing mirror all the time while driving forward and never while driving backwards. evileye

I otta pose this to the C & C bros. evileye

Do airplanes have rearview mirrors?

Those backup cameras are pretty useless most of the time, though I admit they have helped occasionally.

I like leather in my car, because it is easy to clean if you spill. In the ****pit (though us women prefer to call it the box office), probably upholstery, because it isn't cold.

We have noticed that there are Prius's IV without the backup camera.

If you have a choice between leather seats in the ****pit vs vinyl and uphostery- you would chose what?

What DS needs is a high maintence GF.evileye

You can get a new Prius from cardirect.com for about 25K. Way cheaper than all those options.

So had to gas up the Civic (1999), running on fumes, $46.50

Filled the Pruis (2008) also on fumes. $36.00

Our Toyota dealership near my gym and next to HomeDepot.

A new Prius IV, touring = ~ $32,5000.

A new Camry hybrid, highend, = ~$32,500

A Prius, PlugIn hybrid, =~$40,500

A Chevy Volt, PlugIn hybrid =~$40,500

Here's the story: DS has our old '97 Camry, 210,000+ miles. Fair condition interior, exterior. It could go another 1-2 years, but you never know. He's in the  highside of the 28% marginal  fed tax bracket, no deductibles (his student loan interest  will no longer be deductible and the interest is small. The PlugIn's are eligible for $7500 federal tax credit and exempt from state sales and user's tax for 9.8%. He lives and works very near to charging stations. His Camry requires a fill/2weeks ~25gals/mn, 700 miles). Washington State, King County taxes @9.8%

PlugIn net cost new to DS =~$33,000  + 7gals/mn, $28/mn, $356/yr (@100mpg, $4.00/gal)

Hybrid new net cost =~$35,500 + 14gals/mn, $65/mn, $780/yr (@ 50mpg, $4.00/gal)

It would seem that a PlugIn auto has lower initial cost and much lower use cost.

One or the regrets of not being on CC, is that I can not foil with Dstark. no

I tried an EV last year. I was a lot of fun. I used half of the charge to get from the store to my home, 4.0 miles. I was able to go from 25 mph to about 5 mph. confuse {Electric assisted bicycle. I live on a big hill, elevation gain 500 ft in 3.5 miles.evileye }

Test drove the Chevy-USA Volt, couple of months ago. Got a $50 dealer's gift card for test driving effortVery nice but for the money smile; The Taxpayers are too cheap to add a grab handle on the front-passenger's door. Odd, because the vehicle had grab handle's on the rear doors and driver's door.confuse There is an indicator warning light when the computer senses that the gas 6 (?) months old-very handy if you need to add "Sta-Bil"hmm
