Why is it so hard to believe that marriage is a state's issue? It is the individual state that grants the privilige for legal marriage (I don't know why this is so. Perhaps another reason for government to tax us, and intrusive government). I've question the ability of Congress with BC's signature, to make into law, the Defense of Marriage Act, 1996, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defense_of_marriage_act).
In congruence, BO's administration has refused to enforce section 3 of DOMA, which defines the sexinest of marriage. Some states have laws allowing for same gender marriage-which according to DOMA is federally outlawed for federal employees.
It's going to be my new tag line. If you disagree with me, it's because you haven't fully evolved your line of thinking. If I disagree with you, it's because my viewpoints are changing.
He has "evolved" in order to change the discussion from the bad economy and because of changes in public opinion. I agree with him but his opinion does not matter since the definition of marriage is determined solely at the state level. The real question is whether he will advocate repeal of DOMA.
