It's a blog- there's no spell check,I rush and I don't write to polish - nor edit- I just wrote from the heart and posted. Quite cleansing actually - better than all the professional memos one has to write all day long! But since the tide went nuts-- I'm done writing on new guys.
Mr. B1 and I text on occassion - he's off watching S1 and S2 play college ball every weekend. Bye until end of April. Really - gone every weekend- he does this every spring-. S1 is a senior- so he's not going to give up the end of the childhood before S1 launches to the real world.
I commented on the beautiful eyes remark and later, when people were discussing trolldom, I commented that your writing had often seemed surprisingly unpolished (perhaps due to haste), and that I perhaps tended to be too ready to give people the benefit of the doubt.
I was shocked at how suddenly the tide turned against you here. I'd like very much to think that you are real -- or "really," as you wrote in your own defense.
Now I am on the fence again. You have, in the course of a few days, met - and connected meaningfully with - someone so perfect that all contact with others is off???
Seems almost too good to be true. If true, I guess there may indeed be nothing more to write about, though it would be very interesting to hear about this guy.
If you are still involved an ongoing dating quest for a mate, then I would be happy to suspend stirrings of doubt and let myself be.....well, entertained (and also engaged).....either here, or privately.
Actually you didn't win NJ mom-- we all lost the bet!
Much to my amazing surprise Mr. B send me a romantic note from his conference in CA along with a picture of himself at the seaside conference -and he said he would try if he had a minute to call me on Friday in route from conference to his family-- this email arrived in my inbox at midnight Thursday pm/friday am. (After which he was seen on Jdate) I sent a simply return text that evening-- "tnx for your note - you look refreshed by the sea-- sweet dreams" and Friday morning I sent a longer email reply about enjoyment of the ocean and that I'd see him after he returns from Florida. He replied very briefly- "-thanks for your note, I love the sea too - I'll be in touch". The emotional range of the two notes in less than 12hours time was ridiculous- clearly he is never romantic and basically "cold and detached" when he tries anything at 7 am in the morning.
Since that time there were no subsequent emails, text, phone calls or communication from Mr. B. Last contact 7:10 PST Friday. What did I expect!? I am continuing my rule- I do not make any initial contact with him at this point- simply replies. He should have returned home last night and is leaving Friday morning.
I expect nothing from him at this point -. Easier perhaps that way.
I keep hearing "you got a kiss alot of toads to find a prince"...but statistical speaking, each date is a random independent event. There is no expectation that the dice must be rolled a few hundred times before winning. In fact, you can hit the jackpot on the first throw or the 100th throw-- they are unrelated events from the male perspective- each guy unrelated. I suppose, if we look at it from the women's perspective- each date gives you more experience to be successful on the next?
Whatever-- I'm not writing anything b/c half the crowd thinks I'm a troll. I'll just let you know when I get into an LTR lasting over 6 months.
There are a lot of great actresses in this category and not enough good roles. Patricia Clarkson, Marica Gay Harden, Julianne Moore, Tilda Swinton, Geena Davis, Melissa Leo, Allison Janney, Emma Thompson....
Perhaps SAT was getting ahead of this story. And we were behind. ????
There gonna be a bunch of chick-flicks, 2013, out there for older (no offense, but can't find the correct terms) women looking for New Luv.
Meryl could be in one of them. Denise Richards just turned 40 but looks 30. Maybe Louis-Dreyfus?, too much of a comedien. Sally Fields, Goldie Hawn, ??? Someone with stature, Someone who is a young Boomer.
