Don't point a gun at anything you don't want to shoot

Sorry about your crummy vacation romani. I hope they all sleep in most of the day! Don't let them drag you down into the abyss....it sounds like a good idea that you're doing the disappearing act.

And I think I'm reading comments from the people who will continue to vote her in :  http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=1205501&page=1

Forget the fact that it's recorded and that she almost admits to doing it. Oh no. It is the commie reporter's fault- the one who didn't even alert the media to this as far as we know!

From the reports, she KNEW it was loaded. That's what scares me. It wasn't like she assumed it was unloaded and therefore pointed the laser at him to show him.

She said it herself - she had "informal" gun training.

First rule of holding a gun is assuming it is loaded.  Never, ever, ever point at someone or something unless you intend to shoot it.

People like her give all gun owners a bad name.

Oh, and in a related note, my recent activity on here is brought to you by the facts that: I'm off of work for a month, supposed to be vacationing with just my boyfriend but my family decided to show up, and there have been screaming fights and way too much alcohol and pot consumption over the last weekish (and not by the college students). You know, a typical family-crashed-your-vacation-so-you're-spending-way-too-much-time-on-the-interwebz-pondering-politics-and-saying-WTF-a-lot story. Cheers!

That is idiotic.

We teach our kids to carefully unload weapons but to always consider them to BE loaded. Never, ever  point a firearm at anything  it is not OK to shoot.

"Oh, it's so cute," Klein said, before aiming the gun at Ruelas's chest to show off the red beam of the laser sight. Klein's gun, a .380 Ruger, has no safety, but the senator assured Ruelas that he wasn't in danger.

"I just didn't have my hand on the trigger," she said.

Here's a transcript of it, too:

Ok, so I'm really not sure how I feel about gun possession rights in general, but wtf was she thinking? And isn't there some kind of law against pointing any kind of loaded weapon at someone? If not, there damn well should be.

Obviously, the reporter doesn't seem concerned, but it's just scary IMO.
