I don't believe in conspiracy theories as a rule, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if this really did turn out to be true:

guy is a loser..sending messages to college age girls and pawn stars?..

Doubt he was hacked, probably drunk and meant to send private message and screwed up.

1. this guy is an idiot
2. I think he might be being set up

but... notice how he doesn't deny that pictures of his man parts exist?

also... why is he "following" high school and college girls on twitter?

Now he's calling police on reporters who have questions? http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2011/06/02/weiner-says-hes-done-talking-about-twitter-photo-time-to-get-back-to-work/

Weiner is a disgrace. He is spinning so hard and fast, no pun intended of course,  that the National Weather Service is ready to put out a tornado warning out for DC. Whether or not he actually sent the photo is irrelevant. Anyone who takes pics of their crotches has serious issues. And anyone who defends or believes him, must have the IQ of an ant. How stupid can people be? No wonder this country is in the shape it's in.

As for Wiener,

Don't care.

Anything from the Bretheit is a suspect and most likely a lie. Heard wolf too many times. Likewise, I heard Wolf from the R's concerning the Wars.

I almost broke my promise in not post posting on CC and resurrecting myself.

I wrote a PM and then hit submit, however, I was timed-out.

Luckily I came to my senses and did not re-login.

Nah, Boehner may be entertaining for his teary eyes, or annoying as one may see it...but nothing about him can touch wienergate.

Now that the Wiener has been exposed can the Boehner be far behind?

"This also explains why Weiner is coming across as evasive: if there are private photos like this (which for all anyone knows could have been meant only for him and his wife -- people do that kind of thing sometimes, you know!), no wonder he doesn't feel like talking about it."

Or more likely a picture taken by an old girlfriend, not his wife (which could be an obvious reason that it somehow got out there), because chances are his wife wouldn't pass that kind of picture around.

Breitbart is now backtracking; it seems rather clear now that even if it is a picture of Weiner, it was a private photo that was somehow stolen and that Dan Wolfe, whoever he is, did engage in some kind of hack to make it appear that Weiner tweeted it.

http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/bizarre/dan-wolfe-anthony-weiner-weinergate-632095

http://www.salon.com/news/politics/war_room/2011/06/02/breitbart_patriotusa_emails

To me, the most probative point is this:

"it's clear from his Twitter feed that Wolfe is a right-wing activist who has been obsessed with Weiner for months, even tweeting way back on May 12 that a "top5 RightWing blogger has sexscandal pics" of Weiner."

So on May 12 he posts this, and on May 27, entirely by coincidence, he happens to be the one person in the entire world who claims to have seen and captured the photo as something Weiner tweeted?  Even the most fanatic right-winger like Breitbart probably has trouble believing that.

This also explains why Weiner is coming across as evasive: if there are private photos like this (which for all anyone knows could have been meant only for him and his wife -- people do that kind of thing sometimes, you know!), no wonder he doesn't feel like talking about it.

And if it had been hacked, then why the ridiculous press conference?  Did you see it?  For a smart guy, he looked like he had something to hide  - "this is a distraction...this is a distraction and then a profane answer to the press.

Why not moral outrage and a request by the FBI to find the culprits?  He did himself no favors.

If I were a sitting US Representative and my FB or Twitter was hacked, my comment to the press would be - "Yes, I was hacked.  This is a crime and we will be investigating and prosecuting this to the fullest extent of the law."

Hacking is a very real threat, but he didn't impress me that this is what happened in this circumstance based on his behavior on camera.

Anyone remember the last time the comments (to paraphrase) "This is a distraction" were uttered?  Think back a while.  An intern, a dress and a sitting President.

I think it's pretty clear that his twitter account was hacked; it's been shown in a number of places how it could easily have been done without stealing a password. And that it's not easy to send something like that by mistake. And I think he's way too smart -- and he's very smart -- to do something like that.

I don't even want to post the story.  Just the title.  What a moron.

Thoughts?  Innocent?  Has he been hacked?  Does he really have a picture of himself in his tightie whities on his computer or phone?  How did he get elected, anyway?
