doubtful... it will probably mean trying to do everything we are doing now (that we don't even have enough for, you see how we couldn't functionally fight Iraq and Afghanistan at the same time) with less.
That said, most US troops are supposed to leave Iraq soon I think, and Afghanistan to follow.

Panetta is a very intelligent man, but the majority of his career has not been military related, but more political. The military is in a precarious situation currently not only because of all the action (Iraq, Afghanistan and now Libya), but also because the repeal of DADT and women in combat or on subs.
That is on top of the drastic budget cuts which will be arriving come Oct 1.
I respect him tremendously for defending the CIA against Pelosi, because let's face it he is a Democrat, so he attacked one of his own. I believe he will be that way with the military and place them first push come to shove. Just not secure where that line will be.
