This is a slide show view of the ambush at a Detroit Police precinct. These are the guys I provide technology for, including video. I've worked with Cmdr Davis on several projects.
As a wife of a police officer the video was difficult to watch. As a friend of someone involved it was difficult to watch. I am so very thankful that everyone is going to be fine. Everyone had on a vest, except for the commander who came in on his off day to do some work.
I visit the police buildings frequently and never, ever felt I was in danger, but now, I don't know. I've always chuckled when the officers in full uniform have to shift and adjust to sit down since they are wearing guns, handcuffs, sticks, radios and other paraphenalia.
Anyway, these guys are great, I've worked with so many of them and the majority are great people. I hope the DPD will make adjustments so this may never happen again.
