I have had relatives in their 80s and 90s who looked spry and healthy, in comparison.

Sorry for the lack of warning.  With all due respect, I did ASK what happened to his face. You were probably hoping for bad plastic surgery.  His face kind of looked like chewed up meat.  Sad.

Al was never the most handsome man, and some would say he isn't a very nice one (including many of my friends)  - but what happened to his face?  Chemical peel?  Sun damage?
