Yikes! That's scary. ... I feel the same way about baseball. Of course, we don't have a prayer in hell of getting a front-row seat at a major league game, but we have a sweet little AA park in Lexington where it's quite easy to be in the danger zone. My husband loves it, but I spend the game cringing and grimacing.  blankstare

A family friend caught one in the face.  She had way too good of seats back in the day before the plexiglass.  The Kings paid for her facial reconstructive surgery.

You certainly were lucky to "catch" a puck during a hockey game! Those things can be (and have been) deadly!

In the spirit of the holiday season:

Once, when my family was visiting Canada, I was lucky enough to catch a puck during a minor league game.  I don't know how. I think it was mommy instincts (I was holding my infant daughter in my arms).

Those Canadians get into their hockey game and traditions, don't they?  How awesome.
