Imagine: Trump V Palin!

A reality TV star smack down to be the leader of the free world. The stakes and reward have never been higher. Now that is what 21st Century reality TV is all about.

Trump would make an excellent president. His hair would complete the ticket.

Trump could never deal with the campaigning or the governing. When he walks into a meeting, he is trailed by a bunch of toadies, who all call him Mr. Trump. And he calls anyone else in a meeting by their first names. Seasoned pols usually use the friendship thing with each other. Friendship among equals is something Trump doesn't understand.

He is a lousy businessman. His expertise lies not in actual strategy, organization, or execution. His only talent is promotion/marketing. And the only thing he has truly successfully promoted is his own brand, which is really his only product.

For several years, I carved our family pumpkin with what I thought was the peace symbol. Then my husband asked me why I kept carving the Mercedes Benz insignia every Halloween. Oh, hell. ...
That's just great.

He's a worse business man than George W Bush.
That too.

Why would we even consider him an option? Hasn't he bankrupted like 3 companies?

He's a worse business man than George W Bush.

You crack me up, Hindoo.  You didn't get the hippie handbook with all the rules?

Mr. Hindoo must have laughed about that one.  (BTW, say hi to him for me!)

Intrepid--That's one lovely pumpkin you have, there! ... For several years, I carved our family pumpkin with what I thought was the peace symbol. Then my husband asked me why I kept carving the Mercedes Benz insignia every Halloween. Oh, hell. ...

Donna!  Good to "see" you.

Donald Trump seriously does have some of the worst hair going on on the planet, and that pursed lip thing he does.

He definitely needs better hair.  Right now, it's almost as bad as Giuliani's used to be.

It depends on what the definition of "win" is....to Trump.

Trump's major issue is trade imbalance specifically and the economy as a whole.  His idea is to tax Chinese imports by 25%, which would force more builders like himself to buy American (things like drywall and toilets for new developments) and pump more money, and jobs, into the American economy.  Paying more for drywall or toilets would not be a "win" for Trump's business, but in the grand scheme of things an improved economy would be.

He won't win the presidency but he could push his issue onto the national stage for a while and possibly influence some actual legistlation.  He'd certainly argue his case strongly in any debates that might happen during primaries.  And who knows, maybe one or both eventual nominees will pick up on it as at least part of their platform (the larger issue of trade balance as a way to boost American economy, if not Trump's way of doing it).

This is all a speculative stretch, I know (possibly wildly so), but Trump's no dummy.  He doesn't necessarily have to win the presidency to win for himself.

He doesn't care if he wins.

He does everything he does to get more publicity.  He should probably run for mayor of new york.  Bloomberg seems to me to have the charisma of three day old bagels.

On the charisma scale, Trump is sadly lacking.

He may be smart and a good businessman, but he doesn't have the "it" factor.

I know this lovely young lady who keeps trying out for American Idol.  Voice is amazing, but the pre-screening judges keep telling her that she doesn't have the "it" factor.  The combination of drive and charisma and looks and whatever else they look for in a contestant.

I think it is the same with Trump.

I might vote for his rug if it ran separately --well, depending on who else is running.

I know, it seem obvious that he has no chance.  Why can't he see it?  I wonder how many millions Trump will have to throw at it before he comes to the realization.

(p.s. what a adorable dog, pima.  Is he/she an American Bulldog?)

He has no chance of succeeding, but he does have a chance of being a Perot and bank rolling himself as an Independent.

At least he has real-world experience in the business world, something sorely missing at present.

Don't think he has a chance in ......

Just saw Donald Trump being interviewed by George Stephanopoulos and it seems like he's serious about running for president (as a Rep).  Anyone think he stands a chance?  I cringe at the thought of a debate between Trump & Palin--media would love it.  How much more circus would Trump inject into the campaign/election process?

"He signaled he thinks he may just be the right person to takeover the White House, saying, "I think my whole life has sort of been about finesse when you get right down to it." (Huff Post)
