The irony! And it was all going SO well and according to plan until the very end when this leaked! I haven't looked at CC lately, but the comments on articles by many of the perplexed and deeply disappointed liberals I've read have been absolutely vicious. All of a sudden they've lost their peaceful loving good vibes; their kumbaya moment...their deeply felt charity and "mercy." WHAT a shocker.
So the Pope is a big hit with the CC crowd. He's so admired, he's totally cool, and he supports all the causes that the really intelligent people support. But wait, what is this? He did what? Oh noes! This cannot be true. It is true? Well, he must have been duped. No? Then he must have just been trying to appease the far right. Whoever tricked the Pope into this meeting will probably lose their job!
It's amusing watching them fall all over themselves trying to explain this unexpected event.
