Interesting site.

There does seem to be a big old patch of cognitive dissonance whenever the net benefit of warming is broached. Sort of like a dog whistle that only the deniers and warming apostates can hear.

Better title than the Schumer nomination and, absent all the AA rationalizations that came to mind at the moment, less confusing. The principle's sound, though: once a politician sinks to a certain level of dishonest idiocy, he/she isn't eveb called a fool anymore. More effort than it's worth.

Case in point would be Al Gore:

After the country’s hottest year on record, the record melting of the arctic ice cap and disruption of the Northern Hemisphere jet stream and storm track, a crippling drought and hundreds of billions of dollars worth of damage from climate-related extreme weather events over just the past two years, we are already paying the price of carbon pollution. It is clear that bold and comprehensive action is needed now.
