She's also easy on the eyes.  2016 - Chris Christie has my vote if he runs.

This is what summarized SP's persona and McCain's fate: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cf9NqaZ4fw

She's a riot and then some. She's also the second best thing that happened to the Republicans/TeaParty.evileye

couldnt stomach Palin as the second if McCain died in office

Paliln is orders of magnitude better than Biden. No question.

As a conservative she understands our founding principles and human nature better than he ever has, will, or is capable of.

AND she had more experience in politics and as an executive than Obama.

They're goal from day 1 was to make certain Obama would fail not what is best for the country.

That statement is a non sequitur. It presumes that whatever Obama wanted was, practially by definition, best for the country. That's a false presumption. False presumptions like that are typical of the "thinking" behind liberal talking points like the one quoted here.

Doing everything possible to ensure the failure of Obama's signature measures - Obamacare and "stimulus" - was exactly what was best for the country.

Perot's grasp of debt arithmetic, along with the failings of career public servants at addressing debt related to anything other than campaign funds and a cozy retirement, was pretty spot on, wasn't it?

Can't recall what Clinton gets a speech these days.

Didn't we all love Ross's debt curve charts. A real technocrat but not a politician. cry

FYI, 24 apple pies and crisps. Towards the end, I got lazy and started to use biscuits-in-tube as a crust; At first 50% then 100% rate. It's is considerably cheaper and easier to use the tubed dough. Also ended up with just 1 cup of sliced apples. Estimated cost if $1.50/pie and just my luck, the better store/frozen apple pies are now on sale.disbelief Anyhow, Son took 3 pies to feed his cohorts and some of the pies will  be for Mom's breakfast (high carbs and fat).

Out of pi pins for squish piis-Got two pimpkins that are uncit and 12 butternits. evileye

Didn't mean that to apply to you, lp -- what with the Ron Paul leanings, you're complicated enough I don't assume anything.

Perot was my first and last participation in "third-party" politics. Oh, I'll root for whoever the Green's run just as much as those who'd like to see the Tea Party splinter away - and for the same reasons - but way, way, better to co-opt your own party than pick up your toys and move to another sandbox.

That said: who really believes John Boehner's the product of as fully evolved co-opting as Nancy Pelosi? Evolution ain't pretty at all sometimes.

I voted for dems through Clinton's second term, then Bush twice and McCain. I was going to vote for Mitt, but now that I've seen evidence of Obama's superior leadership during Sandy I guess I should reconsider, as I'm sure will millions of undecided voters. HaHaHa :)

Didn't say that I didn't like PBO. The R's needed PBO to hide their prior sins as a scrapegoat and to stop USA's fall after W's and R's 2000-2008 fiascos.

Voted for Perot and probably would again if the matchup was the same -besides Perot being right about a great many things, simply couldn't stand Bush Senior.

Maybe not here since they don't seem to have much to say on the subject anymore, but indications are there's a pretty large number of disillusioned Obama voters out there, looking at him like a pretty cheesey one-night stand they regret.

I plan to do the same, if MR wins and getting the obstructionist House, with what trading stocks that I have. Most of the retirement funds are in deferred, protected annuities. Got some SLV as another hedge and some cash to catch a sharp but brief fall.

I think business and individuals will rethink a full fledge tax reform and deductions, which was debated in 2000 (?) when Steve Forbes brought forth this idea. Hedgefunds and M&A firms could stand to lose their preferential tax treatment.

I voted for Nixon, Reagan, Bush.  I must admit I voted for Perot, Dole, Bush twice, and McCain. I think I would rather have voted for Palin, at least you know where she stands.  I wouldn't vote for Romney if you paid me unless both the house and senate were in the Democrats hands.  I can't stand his: "We need jobs, I know how to create jobs, I've done it before."  He's an idiot and the House of Representatives is obstructionist.  They're goal from day 1 was to make certain Obama would fail not what is best for the country.  The only positive outcome of Romney being elected will be an initial rise in the stock market during which time I'll make a lot of money and then a crash after I sell.  If he puts through the crap that he talked about before his change during the presidential debates, which he will try to implement because of the brainless tea partiers in the House, it will be the second coming of Herbert Hoover or worse.

We have read a few poll numbers around here lately. How many of you voted for Obama in 2008? If so, we're you a D, a R or an independent at time of 2008 election? How about now?

Voted for Obama.

Republican. Liked McCain but couldnt stomach Palin as the second if McCain died in office.

Also so mad at the total ignorance of the Rs for the Wars, the ballooning deficit, the unaccounted Wars with no goals or ends, and aggorant MOC who used earmarks to buy votes rather control government and regulate fair trade. IMO, bin Laden,  may have lost the battle but his legacy is winning in that he made USA take its focus off of being competitive. Still galls me that the same MOC of 2000, 2004, 2008 are still around to screw us some more.

Now, Still R but don't trust MR because he has no morals to get elected. Did you see how he spray tanned himself for the spanish channel interview. If I had  business and I needed to hire an advisor, I wouldn't hire him because he he changes his position on so many things inorder that he will continue to look good.

I of course would vote for Ron Paul, although I don't agree with a lot of his positions. But I respect him for his commitments.
