He's (PBO) got a lot to lose if he lets PrimeMinister N. makes an issue after a meeting. USA has always guaranteed Israel's sovereignty and line-in-the-sand with Iran. I particularly do not want a foreign entity to dictate USA's foreign policy-regardless of the President-elect.
Cancel your Letterman and jay-z appearances, meet Netanyahu.
Seriously, you are the President. He is telling the world where Israel ranks in his perspective. Letterman surely is more important than meeting the leader of another country that is part of the crux of the problem in the Middle East. Let's just ignore them, I am sure they will understand!

So you think our President should go on Letterman instead of meeting with a Prime Minister?
Honestly you are saying it is more important to go on a late night talk show, and attend a party with musicians than meet the leader of a country that can start a war!
It isn't like Netanyahu got on a plane and decided to pop in at the WH to have a chat. There is protocol they all follow. Granted my opinion is this was a passive aggressive act. Obama wouldn't meet, so he got on a plane to illustrate to the US citizens how Israel is being treated by our President.
He will be all smiles on tv with our media, but they were sending their own message too. They accomplished it, PBO now has to address why he is going on Letterman and attending a fundraiser and not meeting the PM from Israel when the Middle East is imploding.
