There is something missing in this man. A lack of any kind of moral center.
You sense that, huh?
Interesting.
It fits with everything I've been reading and learning about the psychological and yes even genetic, in the sense of personality traits, which are heritable, differences between liberals and conservatives.
"No moral center" is another way of saying "moral relativism." You know, one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter and all that. It all makes sense from the perspective of the moral foundations I keep talking about.

This is a man who has gotten away with the easy way his whole life. He has even referred to himself as "lazy." He doesn't want to schmooze Congress, but he sure is good at schoozing "journalists" like Yellin who sit there grinning like idiots at whatever comes out of his mouth.
My husband traveled a lot during the time we raised our kids. His job required it. He probably missed 2/3 of all family dinners. And that went on for twenty years. PresO has the presidency for four (hopefully) years, but it's too much to ask him to do his job. He is so special. Give me a break.
I can't for the life of me understand why people "like" this guy.
No, this is what Jessica Yellin reported. I heard it on the show Sunday. I watch or DVR Candy Crowley's show every week.
I'm not comprehending what the documentary has to do with it. This is what Obama said to Yellin. Are you saying Yellin is lying? Are you saying Breitbart made this exchange up? When millions of viewers saw it, or can possibly find the exchange between Crowley and Yellin on the internet?
Both my husband and I have made career choices that have impacted our families. Some jobs ave been better for family time. Others not so much.
When my daughter was born, it was not uncommon that my husband worked almost a double shift and rare when we would see him at night before kids were in bed. It sucked, but it was his job.
I have worked jobs and then started my business so I could be actively involved in my kid's childhood and teenaged years. My retirement and earning potential have reflected that decision, accordingly.
I don't dispute that raising kids is absolutely critical, but if you are planning on having dinner with your family in your private residence with wife and kids nearly every night...and that has been reported, then maybe running for president is not the best choice for you.
Schmoozing comes with the job. He has played 100 plus rounds of golf since assuming the office. This is an ideal time to get work done, according to my friends in sales! He plays basketball frequently. Opportunities to build kinship with the other side, but not happening in this White House. Bill Clinton was a schmoozer. Worked for him. If you say you are going to work to unite folks from both sides of aisle, talking to them might be a start.

OBAMA BLAMES WASHINGTON GRIDLOCK, PARTISANSHIP ON Wife and daughters
by TONY Lee
President Barack Obama is partly blaming his family and children for his inability to lessen Washington’s partisanship and gridlock during his first term.
On CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday show, Jessica Yellin said she interviewed Obama for a forthcoming documentary and asked him why he did not do more outreach to Republicans in the beginning of his term to bridge the divides Obama often rails against.
Yellin said Obama told her one of the reasons he did not was because he wanted to spend more time at home with his kids and family. "He was trying to spend some time at home with his family in the evenings and on the weekends,” Yellin said.
Yellin noted Obama suggested things may be different in the second term when his kids are older. “If this was such a priority, why didn’t he do it?,” Yellin asked. “You can carve out one night a week to go out and socialize and reach across the aisle.” Obama ran a campaign in which he said he would unite “red America” and “blue America." And even though Democrats controlled Congress during his first two years in office and still control the Senate, Obama is trying to run against what he often calls the “Republican Congress,” which he is trying to blame for making partisanship and gridlock worse in Washington.
Obama and his campaign have also tried to tie Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan to this “Republican Congress,” but Ryan has often noted that even though he is the House Budget Chairman, he has not met with Obama in over a year.
From Yellin's interview, though, it seems like a president who puts a premium on bipartisanship on the stump did not even care to work with or get to know Republicans in order to make bipartisanship more likely upon coming to Washington.
