That's adorable. Good for them. That little girl will remember that forever.
I work for a photography company and we do a LOT of Father-Daughter dances. They're my favorite event to work because it's just so darn adorable and I love seeing dads more and more involved in their children's lives. Plus, my boss often puts my dad and I on those shoots together so it's a whole nother level. (On the same note... I HATE working mother-son dances. It's all about the mothers and the sons are often an after thought.)
I could totally see my man doing this with our future children. He often hosts events and has absolutely zero stage fright or shame. Not only would he do this, he would probably incorporate singing, instruments, and he would be wearing whatever our children picked out for him.
