The Golden Rule or the ethic of reciprocity is found in the scriptures of nearly every religion. It is often regarded as the most concise and general principle of ethics. Whatever you wish that men would do to you, do so to them.
One should not behave towards others in a way which is disagreeable to oneself. This is the essence of morality. All other activities are due to selfish desire.
Tsekung asked, "Is there one word that can serve as a principle of conduct for life?" Confucius replied, "It is the word shu--reciprocity: Do not do to others what you do not want them to do to you."
One going to take a pointed stick to pinch a baby bird should first try it on himself to feel how it hurts.
9. African Traditional Religions. Yoruba Proverb (Nigeria)
One who you think should be hit is none else but you. One who you think should be governed is none else but you. One who you think should be tortured is none else but you. One who you think should be enslaved is none else but you. One who you think should be killed is none else but you. A sage is ingenuous and leads his life after comprehending the parity of the killed and the killer. Therefore, neither does he cause violence to others nor does he make others do so.
The Ariyan disciple thus reflects, Here am I, fond of my life, not wanting to die, fond of pleasure and averse from pain. Suppose someone should rob me of my life... it would not be a thing pleasing and delightful to me. If I, in my turn, should rob of his life one fond of his life, not wanting to die, one fond of pleasure and averse from pain, it would not be a thing pleasing or delightful to him. For a state that is not pleasant or delightful to me must also be to him also; and a state that is not pleasing or delightful to me, how could I inflict that upon another?
As a result of such reflection he himself abstains from taking the life of creatures and he encourages others so to abstain, and speaks in praise of so abstaining.
A certain heathen came to Shammai and said to him, "Make me a proselyte, on condition that you teach me the whole Torah while I stand on one foot." Thereupon he repulsed him with the rod which was in his hand. When he went to Hillel, he said to him, "What is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbor: that is the whole Torah; all the rest of it is commentary; go and learn."

Yes, I agree. Pure reporting of the facts no longer exists w/ the media today. Gone are the days when journalists investigated a story, double and tripled checked the facts and reported ONLY what they found.
Journalistic integrity means the reader or listener should NOT be able to determine the reporter’s personal political leanings.
News organizations have a strong liberal bias and they hire reporters who are more than willing to tailor their stories to support that bias.There maybe pockets of fair minded print journalists but integrity and broadcast journalism is an oxymoron. IMPO
Five classmates witnessed, or participated in an private high school incident that happened decades ago. Five classmates-witness-participated remembered the incident but the alleged perpetrator does not.
I rememeber a Shiner's Circus event were I noticed a wire crossing a high wire. I never said anything. A hour later, I saw the the performer (wife of the other performer) hit that wire. Dead. 54 years ago. Today, if I see anything that "could" endanger another, I speak out, even though it is none of my business. I've been told by many, that its "none of your business."
I remember that incident very clearly and clarity. The seat. The wires. The thickness of the wires. The motorcycle. The costumes.
Would an apology to the husband make a difference?

Just when I thought it was only the nightly anchors (Matthews, Maddow, Schultz) who illustrated their venom to the right, I was floored to see Tamron Hall's interview.
I get her point that guests discuss what will be asked during the interview prior to going live, but she was harsh IMPO.
I honestly agree with the guest, the bullying issue when Romney was a teen really is not an issue, so why is the media trying to make it into one? We all were in hs. and did things we regret, she even admitted she probably did worse than Romney, so why make this a story?
He did not answer the way she wanted, but her lack of professionalism was the bigger story now. Maybe she should remember why her colleagues were given time outs by that network!
