Kind of rich, isn't it? One of the few votes Obama could reasonably count on this fall might not go down his way?

One of the posters on that circle jerk CC thread, the "Zimmerman" one, put up some of the hoops Texas requires those looking for a replacement birth certificate to go through. A PITA, true, but it begged the question of whyit's tolerated and why the privilege of voting has been debased to point that anyone showing up to a polling place has, I mean just has, to be given a ballot.

Perhaps by now you have seen the video for James O'Keefe going to the polling site impersonating Eric Holder.

Most of us don't think too hard about this issue, unless you haven't been able to vote - whether for a local, state or national election.  And it does happen.  Our old friend LDmom from CC had this happen in the 2008 Presidential election. Somebody had already "voted" using her name.

I now vote absentee.  I get my ballot weeks before an election, vote and return.

And, they randomly check the signatures in LA County based on absentee ballots.  A friend had an inquiry from the county after she injured her hand and the signature was a little "off".
