Feminists have done a great job in empowering young women to take on the world career-wise, and an absolutely deplorable job teaching them to respect themselves when it comes to their sexuality.

I work at a domestic violence shelter- as both a shelter worker and I operate the crisis line. It's this kind of mentality that makes it very hard for women to come forward after being abused (especially if they're with someone who is seen as "sexy" or "a catch"). I want every single one of these women to come to work with me for a day.
In fact, I wish all young men and women would volunteer some time at a domestic violence shelter. I think seeing the realities of abuse could make a positive change in our society (encourage men and women to come forward, take away the stigma, etc).
Sorry, bad day at work and this just sent me over the edge a bit.
