H.R. 2273

Limiting EPA authority  &  Giving States Oversight Over Coal Ash.

In Oregon, we decided that our, 1 coal plant, is causing enough polution to cause lower visibility in the Columbia River Gorge (when wind is blowing from the East-infrequent) and causing  additional polution to Washington ( 3 miles across the Columbia River) and Idaho ( 100 miles east). The  Portland General Electric's, Boardman plant is scheduled to close in 2020 and is currently being fitted with polution control devices.

{PGE, once an independent, local company was acquired by ENRON in the 90's. ENRON is remembered for it's deregulated shinanigans and collapsed in 2000. PGE is currently a independent company, NYSE listed}

A good bill for the midwestern and coal producing states.

PacificPower, also located in Portland, OR has a coal plant (2/3rd owned), Jim Bridger Plant, in Wyoming. PacificPower is a part of Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway-MidAmerican Energy Holdings.
