Agreed with poetsheart. I'd consider it that he had his trial in absentia. I feel comfortable that there is far than enough evidence (even by videos of his own words) that he is guilty of being a murderous terrorist. Good for the president.
Well, at least the ACLU is consistent. Whether it is child molestors, murderers or villanous terrorists, they always come down on the side of evil. Never any guessing on where they stand.
Hell no, he shouldn't have gotten a trial. He placed himself outside of US law, and relinquished his citizenship, as far as I'm concerned. Treason is worthy of death, and if this guy didn't commit treason, no one ever has. He personally inspired the the Fort Hood shooter to engage in his murderous rampage, as well as the underwear bomber and many others who have committed, or conspired to commit, acts of terror against the US. He was one of the US's most significant terror threats, and he got what he deserved. End of Story.
Good on President Obama and our elite military and intelliegence organizations for their absolute commitment to weaken and destroy the terrorist organizations who would love to carry out another devastating terror attack against the us. The Obama Administration may not actually use the term, "War on Terror", but they certainly are aggressively going after terrorists as if we are at war with them. Actions speak louder....
I'm sure there are some that argue that US citizens should not be targeted with UAVs or manned military aircraft though, yes? Shouldn't he get a trial?
