I can't stand the phrase, "sooner, rather than later" which was created by Bill Clinton. Sooner means "rather than later" so why say "rather than later". It's a stupid phrase from a Yale law school graduate.
It's not bad enough that Rick Perry beats the expression "boots on the ground" to death, but now his wife is saying it, too. It's like an icepick in my ear drum. Stop, stop, stop!!! It may be one of the more obnoxious things I've heard in a long time. Buy a thesaurus, use some creativity, but stop the madness!
