The kids would have been US citizens if they had been born in Mexico since she is a US citizen so I assume she chose the US because she wanted to be in a US hospital. I doubt the kids will ever return to the US unless she can later sneak them out after the "romance" is over. He doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who will let her just leave with the kids. It's a shame she didn't have sense enough to stay here after they were born.
Edited to add - I don't know if the kids would qualify for US citizenship or not had they been born in Mexico since she may not have lived her the correct amount of time prior to their birth. She may indeed have come her to give birth to make sure they are US citizens. Smart move since she should know she might need to run and run fast to the US at some point.

I am sure they were hoping to nab him while she was in the hospital and kept her under surveillance. I somehow doubt that he is the diaper changing, soccer coaching dad type.
She's a US citizen, so I suppose they couldn't stop her from entering the country. It should surprise no one that she'd want her children to have the advantage of citizenship, too. But if the authorities have been tracking her, why don't they know the whereabouts of her drug lord husband? Or perhaps they do, but they can't yet touch him. Who knows?
