Can anyone tell me what his repuation is on a national level? He has been my representative for nearly a decade so it's quite dificult for me to seperate his local reputation from his national reputation. So I'm just curious about how the rest of America sees him.
Slightly OT: I campaigned for McCotter in 06 because I recieved community service credit for it (I needed politically themed community service hours for a high school government class) and I was rather politically apathetic at the time. I think he's a nice guy on a personal level, but I could never vote for him. Even when I was a sophomore in hs, I was much more moderate in my political leanings (fresh out of a conservative Catholic school and just trying to figure out my political positions), he was still way too far right for my tastes.
