I am sure the French military felt very good about the Maginot Line.

It's a bomb. If you can't get it near the target because the enemy has orbital platforms to shoot down delivery systems, it is just minor radioactive contamination.

Always good to have a blind poker hand.

Goes along with theory of,  First Strike Capability, except now US Military is saying that it has a Second Strike Capability. A 2nd strike capability, means that the offending 1st strike must be massively and assuredly destructive

Just posturing, purile and pathetic...

You think you are so smart! Well I will beat you up!

The US government has done nothing about Chinese job/capital predation. Why would a cyber attack trigger an actual response?

The US elite leadership, political and business, is China's bitch.

Soon to come, a right wing religious dictatorship in the US that does try to initiate a nuclear exchange.

I agree, I don't think we are going to launch a war, it seems more to me like posturing than anything else.

It makes me remember the incident with our plane and the Chinese several yrs back. Are we saying that if a country did that again, we would toss a tomahawk into their yard?

There are a lot of articles floating around about this today (here is one: http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/06/01/us-usa-cyber-pentagon-idUSTRE74U75420110601).  DOD came out with a strategy that says the US can respond to cyber attacks with traditional military action.

I believe that this is intended to provide deterrence, but will it be effective?  Are we going to launch missiles after the next Chinese cyber attack?  This seems extremely unlikely.

Is the worm that US/Israel used on Iran's nuclear reactor grounds for Iranian military response (if Iran followed US guidelines?)
