My favorite is how they are banning cars in London, which is not even in the EU. This is one powerful group. Maybe they will get a UN resolution for a no-drive zone.
Did the UK leave the EU since the last time I looked?
Just because they elected to stay with the pound instead of the euro doesn't mean they aren't members!
The fact that they are members will make things a lot less expensive for my son if he decides to go to graduate school in England, once I get around to obtaining dual German citizenship for both for us.

If the middle east blows itself up, or we run out of oil, or the price of oil continues to skyrocket, it might happen. With increased connectivity, there is less reason than ever for long commutes. Americans are in love with cars, not necessarily the rest of the world.
