Yes, but apparently what he MEANT to say was that he didn't think the president should be able to send our military to war without consulting the UN and the Arab League. Apparently congress can be informed by letter while he is out of the country drinking wine and dancing.

Poetgrl- don't get upset about our president's immature behavior. It's his pattern, he's so far in over his head he has to escape. He enjoys being president and all the perks. He just can't lead and actually be president of a super power. Although with him at the helm, I do question our standing in the world. We're ALL paying for his inexperience and lack of executive management unfortunately.
I believe that when you send American Military men and women off to war, you owe the US people an explanation, from the United States.
Can you imagine what "candidate" Obama would have said if another president had done this? And refused to answer congress, had refused to speak to the press on this issue, and had actually walked away from the press when they asked these questions?
In the meantime, he's discussing this with other countries?????? Please.

As a taxpayer who will be paying the President's pension for the rest of his life, which, in my opinion is plenty of vacation pay, I would prefer him to remain at work during times of nuclear meltdowns and new military deployments. I mean honestly. Is he seriously going on spring break?
