And some people posit that the association between the citizenry and the government is a peaceful one. What a joke. The government in its essence is a parasite interested no more in the welfare of its people than it is in confiscating the wealth of its people. It's state vs society, and to pretend anything else is to strap a blindfold over your eyes.

The government and media have been "shying away" from calling the circumstance in Libya a "civil war".

With a thousand dead, what else can it be?

I am not a military analyst or historian.
But I am pretty sure the Libyan Civil War has started;
