If that is the King's College in NY, it is teensy tiny, less than 400 students. Definitely some kids might like it, but for many, that could be way too small.
As far as Bard's and Sarah Lawrence, I looked at them, and they do look beautiful. My son doesn't really care if there's a liberal or conservative bent, as long as the entire faculty/students aren't rabid in any one direction. The concern with Bard is that they have a humongous core, but he can't just write everything off that has a good sized core requirement. Sarah Lawrence, the ratios look very favorable for a guy (hmmm, who can I go out with tonite?), and the arts look amazing. But I'm leery of schools that don't have a significant STEM major and business degree presence. It's tough when you're undecided!
Just think of it as a good reason to come back and spend more time here! Have you looked at Sarah Lawrence or Bard? They may be a little too liberal, but both have excellent reputations.
No, I'd be lying if I said that, but the rest was true! We'll definitely be back in the summer, as my son was totally in love with New York. And we'll definitely check out Fordham, it looks beautiful online, and is still right in the city. I can't believe we didn't visit it when we were so close.
That's crazy, Donna. How do you stay alive with that schedule? My God, that would kill me! Sleep is everything, without it, I cannot function. I'm glad Ziggy didn't miss you too much. It always confounds me how those animals can sleep all day. I suppose I'd do the same if I could get away with it.
We were sorry we missed you too, but that's how it goes sometimes. Maybe late summer, I'll let you know if we end up there again. I have visited NYC a couple of times, many years ago, but it was always a short layover, so all I would do is visit the Met (and sleep, of course). We just LOVED Wicked and American Idiot, and I want to go back and see the last musical again, it was so good. Like having a private concert, practically. What an amazing place!
I'm very sorry that I was unable to get away to meet the two of you; I had really hoped to. But I just got home about half an hour ago, after having been at my office, working continuously, since yesterday morning. Even if I'd been able to sneak out for a little while this morning, I'm afraid I wouldn't have looked my best after a night at the office!
Hopefully there'll be another time.
I was worried about Ziggy all day, but he seems fine, although he's very clingy (not surprisingly)!
And I'm glad you enjoyed New York so much, busdriver. Had you been here many times before?
Yes, we had an excellent time. I enjoyed meeting the gorgeous and brilliant zoosermom.....and of course, talking about all of you. Just kidding, we had plenty of other things to talk about!
What a great place, with so much to do. Zoosermom is so lucky to live here. You should all really come out here to see her.
