Darn. Only on the political cafe could we insult and name call, apparently. Of course on the other forums, you can be confrontational and rude about people's children...insulting and calling them names. Funny how we were civil enough not to do the unmentionable on the political forum.

I just went back and reread some of that thread. I don't see a lot of ugliness...and I don't see where mods had to remove words. Yes, there was some "swipes"...but nothing worse than when the boys on CC argue about this school vs that school. Again...the men can argue and "take it"...while the women can't.
Funny, just the title of that thread made me think that was the one you were talking about. Don't worry, you'll get another chance to continue your saga. There's always another way to work a completely unrelated topic into the conversation!
And if you're completely unsuccessful and still sad, you can always bring it over here. Though we from the political forum are not nearly rude and insulting enough. We can give it a try....you beautiful Ivy League grad who won't wear the tshirt! Or is it ugly ivy league grad or "pretender" who will? I couldn't keep up with that thread, the insults were flying too freely.
I didn't even get a chance in that thread to mention the guy's car I was following in a Starbucks a little while ago. His license plate number was actually "HARVARD." I personally am not offended nor impressed when someone wears an ivy league shirt/hat/sticker....whether they went there or not. But the license plate did crack me up!
Yes busdriver, that's the one. I thought it was quite fun, and there was so much material to work with. And now I will never get to finish my saga about the evils of flaunting ivy-wear.

I'm sad over the locking of a thread at the other place. It was so much fun, I'm gonna miss it. But I must move on, and find something else to live for.
