Trust no one...and as always, follow the money --whether it be a govt organization, corporation or university. Always ask yourself, which way is power and money flowing.
I found the part about positive results getting published years ahead of negative ones particularly interesting.
It is amazing how often scientific research serves the fiduciary interests of the sponser or the political interests of the sponser or principal investigator.
It is almost as if they get the results they paid err... make that hoped for....
