congress people do not need body guards. one of them got shot. how many of them have not been shot?

If Congresspeople need bodyguards, if we now think there are enough credible threats against members of Congress that they need armed protection, we should be supplying it. It should not be up to the individual Congressperson.

I support "gun rights" 100%. This is because I value freedom more than security. That is  my exact argument against the Patriot Act and many other government actions. If we had wanted to be secure more than we wanted to be free, we would have remained a part of the British empire.

 But a Congressman needs some sort of professional security to guard against the occasional nutcase.

If she is practicing enough for her gun to do her any good, she is possibly neglecting her duties.
