Didn't Pacino do Shylock in the recent movie version too, and is it close for those of us not in the N.Y. area?  I am a big Shakespeare fan.

For those in the New York area, if possible the Merchant of Venice w/Al Paccino is not to be missed. Fantastic production. Edge of your seat stuff...and Paccino's anarchic over-indulgence really works in the role of Shylock. Great cast, intersting set. Placed in 19th century.

Highly recomended!
