There are some homeopathic medications that are taken under the tongue. Perhaps the armpit is another source conducive to getting the medication to absorb into the skin? With all those sweat glands, maybe it is a highly effective transmission point?
I was thinking mostly about human growth hormone. The current effective versions are injected. A dermal delivery system would be better.
HGH has geriatric applications. Since it is now made by recombinant DNA technology, there need be no moral qualms about diverting scarce resources from children with growth problems.
Kinda brings those Old Spice commercials with Ray Lewis to a whole new meaning...

There's such a thing as estrogen gel. I suppose you could put it on your armpit if you really wanted to. And there's estrogen cream, but it usually goes somewhere else and I'm not sure why you'd want to apply it under your arm.
Testosterone is usually injected, isn't it? (Although when I was compelled to take it for several years beginning when I was 11 -- even then I knew it wasn't for me, and didn't want to -- it was in pill form.)
