Taking odds;

10% chance that the "Stop It or Drop It" campaign will result in Dr. Andy Harris's resignation, (MOC-elect. R-Delmarva)evileye

Not many entities that give immediate Healthcare Ins on hire, unless you are with, the Government.
I believe that DS got enrolled HI on hire, surprised me. I believe he was eligible for HI on his 1st paycheck (consideration=premium payment)( I'll need to confirm). He's now at 51% employed and still get full benefits. Which surprised me again.

Too bad, MOC's health care, takes 30 days to complete paperwork. You'd think that Congress would speed up the process by allocating more $$$$ or advance $$$ to MOC for work not done.

Reminds me of "Keep your government hands off my Medicare."

Once he gets insured, he has the best insurance out there.  For life, right?

Sounds better to me than what my family is facing.  Keep your fingers crossed.  I should know by Tuesday if insurance company number three is going to underwrite us or not. If not, I have another month to find a company before COBRA runs out.  (I started this process two months ago.)

Poor MOC.  Whah.

Does this mean that he won't get insurance until February?

Seems like he should just go without. Seems much better than the evil socialized medicine provided by the government.

Meh. Politicians are hypocrites when it hits close to home. Everything is good and dandy in theory, but once it hits you that your kids might not have insurance- the government's coverage starts sounding like a pretty good option.

US Congressman, elect,  Andy Harris, MD, R-Baltimore/EasternShore, objects to being forced to wait for medical insurance coverage, 30 days before eligibility. First JOB that he has ever had that imposes a benefit eligibility period. evileye

I think he's either been brain washed, doesn't know the difference between idealogies, or thinks that a MOC makes more than a MD. no

Will there be a recall before  Feb 02,2011 (30 days) and GHD ?
